Review AI Summary

Customers appreciate the writing features, design, and functionality of the book reader. They find it well-designed and easy to use. The pen feels good in the hand and on the screen, like using a real pencil. Many enjoy taking notes in the books and editing them at the same time.

I really like this product. I use it every single day at work and I use it frequently at home too. It replaced a physical planner for me which is great because you have to buy a new one every year. I use the notebooks heavily and found routines that work for me. Creating custom templates using the AI refine writing feature has been great. I do wish it had different notebook templates or a way to add your own custom ones. I also wish you could copy your notebooks easier (you can use the lasso tool, which I do, but sometimes it’s time consuming) Being able to send and share annotated PDFs has been great, the process is smooth and easy. Something about writing on a text PDF is so cool. My one complaint is that I wish PDFs weren’t relegated solely to the library section and could be moved to the notebook section if desired. I ended up being a touch disappointed with the special button on the pen, you can only choose between a couple of functions to assign to it and you must hold the button down to use the feature. I end up always clicking the button because of the way I hold a pen so that’s kind of annoying. The eraser is nice though. I like the library portion and reading on it is great. There is a back lit screen that can be adjusted and the page size is good. I do find that I accidentally swipe backwards in my books a lot so that’s mildly annoying too. I also wish you could customize the “collections” the books are in, just something about it is not great. Other than that reading from it is very nice. I would highly recommend a case that can fold into a stand though, it makes draping it over your knee or propping up much more pleasant. Finally I’ve had a blast drawing with it. The pencil function is pretty good and you can come up with some cool stuff! Over all I’ve been using my scribe daily for the past three months. I really like it.

I originally purchased the Remarkable Pro, but after using it for about a week, I experienced pixel issues and had to return it. Unfortunately, the customer service support was disappointing during the whole returning process. That’s when I discovered the Kindle Scribe, and I decided to give it a try. Despite being smaller than the Remarkable Pro, I immediately felt it was the perfect size for me. 1) The writing experience on the Kindle Scribe is incredibly smooth and soft, unlike the Remarkable Pro, where writing produces a tapping noise and feels harder. 2)The Kindle Scribe offers a much softer, quieter experience that feels natural and enjoyable. The reading experience is also absolutely amazing. As someone who reads a lot of ebooks related to my field, the Kindle Scribe has been a game-changer. The display quality is excellent, and the lighting options are far superior to the Remarkable Pro, with a great variety of adjustments to suit different environments. 3)Another major factor is cost—I got the Kindle Scribe for nearly $300 less than the Remarkable Pro, and I pre-ordered it two months ago. The value it offers for the price is outstanding. 4)On top of that, Amazon’s customer service is exceptional, far better than what I experienced with Remarkable. 5)When I first got the Remarkable Pro, my reaction was, “That’s it?” It didn’t wow me, and after just two days of use, I found myself wanting to return it. I kept using it out of necessity, but when the pixel problems occurred, I finally returned it without hesitation. On the other hand, my first impression of the Kindle Scribe was pure excitement—it felt amazing right from the start. Writing on it feels soft and effortless, and reading is an absolute pleasure. It’s a truly versatile and well-designed device. I am so grateful to Amazon for creating this amazing tool. It has completely elevated both my reading and writing experiences. If you’re considering a Remarkable Pro, I would strongly recommend trying the Kindle Scribe instead.
