Product Description
The Red Planet Series from Carson is a newtonian reflector telescope that comes included with a universal smartphone digiscoping adapter. You can now use the built-in camera application on your smartphone to take pictures and record video through the included telescope eyepieces. Then share the images and video through social media or email them to family and friends. The digiscoping adapter connector is retrofitted to fit over the included K9mm and K20mm eyepieces. The large 114mm diameter reflecting mirror captures plenty of light for crisp, bright images and startling detail. The Red Planet telescope features a high-quality, heavy duty aluminum tripod and a sturdy equatorial mount to counteract shaking and movements. It also features setting circles which allow you to dial in coordinates similar to “latitude and longitude” to find specific stars and constellations. With a magnification range of 45x-100x powers, you can use the Red Planet telescopes to view the rings of saturn, the moons of Jupiter and much more. It features a 6x30mm finder scope to help locate astronomical objects in space. The Red Planet telescope also includes both K20mm and K9mm eyepieces. These eyepieces are ideal for astronomical viewing. The Red Planet line features a sophisticated and sleek design so attractive you will be proud to keep it out all year round and it will blend nicely with any décor. The included Universal Smartphone Digiscoping Adapter fits nearly all smartphones and phablets like the iPhone 6/6S Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy models with cases up to 3.75 inches wide. It is also compatible with dual-camera phones. The horizontal phone alignment is done using a variable pitch screw for fine control when you need it but can also be moved quickly between an iPhone (corner camera) and Android (center camera) positions. The alignment features will not interfere with any side buttons on your smartphone. It is backed by Carson's one year limited warranty.
