• Typical acrylic panels for arts & crafts are 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick and sell for about $5 to $8 per panel. These panels are noticeably thin and bend under their own weight. They are also raw without the extra work of precision cut Openings and rounded corners. In contrast, our 1/6 inch (4 mm) panels are thick and rigid. They are also precision cut and they won’t bend. • Thick acrylic panels cost significantly more than thin ones, which is why most acrylic cages and boxes are made with 1/8 inch (3 mm) or even 1/12 inch (2 mm) panels. While they may look similar to ours in photos, they feel cheap and flimsy when held in hand. • T4 panels feature large ventilation holes measuring 0.5 inches (14 mm) wide and 2.5 inches (61 mm) high. They are suitable as wall panels for guinea pigs, birds, chinchillas, and other larger small pets. However, they are not recommended for smaller pets like hamsters, rats, or small reptiles, as these animals may escape through the ventilation holes. • T4B functions the same as T4 but features a bubbly design. Our earlier guinea pig cages used this bubble design for front panels, and it was popular among users, so we made these panels available as a DIY option. However, T4B is not suitable for pets like birds or hamsters, which can more easily fit through the round holes. • T4P functions the same as T4 but features a smaller ventilation window, measuring 0.4 inches (1 cm) wide and 1.4 inches (4 cm) high. This is needed for smaller pets like hamsters and mice, which cannot fit through the narrower ventilation holes. T4P also offers a sleeker, cleaner look for cages housing guinea pigs and larger pets. With fewer DIY bracket holes and smaller ventilation openings, it gives your cage a more modern and refined appearance. • T4EC functions the same as T4 but features numerous ventilation openings, each measuring 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) high. It provides maximum ventilation while also serving as a climbing grid, allowing pets like birds, hamsters, and rats to climb for physical exercise and exploration. • T4 Black, paired with the T7N Black lid, can be used to create dark rooms for pets that need a sleep chamber during the day. • T4 Yellow is designed to add a pop of color to your setup. If you want to experiment with color and make your DIY project stand out, be sure to grab them while you can, as they tend to sell out quickly. More colors are coming soon. • For large-scale DIY projects requiring multiple panels, we recommend purchasing an additional cage. This is because the cost per panel will be the lowest with a cage order, and the cage includes bracket sets needed for DIY projects. • NO BRACKETS OR SCREWS ARE INCLUDED. For DIY projects, you will likely need to purchase corresponding bracket sets separately.
