The Calcium Chloride Test Method, as outlined in ASTM F 1869, is the industry standard for measuring the Moisture Vapor Emission Rate (MVER) of concrete subfloors using anhydrous calcium chloride. This method provides a quantitative measurement that aligns with the requirements set by flooring manufacturers.
It's important to note that the measurement obtained from the Calcium Chloride Test reflects the current condition of the concrete at the time of testing. The results will indicate the amount of water vapor emitted, expressed in pounds per 1,000 square feet over a 24-hour period.
For accurate results, the test must be conducted under consistent temperature and humidity conditions, ensuring the environment mirrors what the building will be subjected to during regular use.
• This product has no expiration date if the bag remains sealed. The printed date is the MilSpec bag's manufacturing date. A gram scale accurate to a tenth of a gram is required for testing.
