This pool care bundle contains two complementary products to help properly balance your pool's pH and alkalinity levels. The Robelle 2306B pH Down rapidly decreases high pH levels using sodium bisulfate. It adjusts and maintains pH between 7.2-7.6 as recommended for pool water. The Pool Mate 1-2256B Alkalinity Increaser raises total alkalinity using sodium bicarbonate and helps stabilize pH. Together, these two products provide the ideal pH and alkalinity balance to prevent skin and eye irritation, corrosion, staining, and damage. The Robelle pH Down contains 6 pounds of sodium bisulfate and should be pre-dissolved before adding directly to pool water when pH is above 7.6. The Pool Mate Alkalinity Increaser contains 10 pounds of sodium bicarbonate. 11 ounces raises alkalinity by 10 ppm per 5,000 gallons of water. It should be added directly to the pool when total alkalinity is below the desired range of 70-140 ppm depending on pool type. Proper water balance helps pool disinfectants work effectively and prevents equipment damage. By using both products as needed, you can achieve and maintain safe pH and alkalinity levels for clean, comfortable pool water.
