Product Description

From the Manufacturer $107,206 raised with 1097 backers. OVER TWENTY FEATURES in EACH EATWELL ASSISTIVE TABLEWARE SET. Being a caregiver is not a simple task! Each Eatwell set includes over 20 unique features to help make the process of eating as easy as possible. Every design detail and decision can be traced back to a finding or discovery made during the development process. Some features are directed to alleviate cognitive impairments, while other features address motor impairments. HIGH CONTRACT COLORS HELP USERS DISTINGUISH FOODS FROM TABLEWARE AND STIMULATE APPETITE The tableware design applied research conducted by Boston University help users distinguish food better by using bright colors. According to the study, colors help a person with dementia to reduce visual impairment and consume 24% more food and 84% more liquid. A unique color (blue) different from common food is selected for the inside of the bowls since no food comes in a blue color. This will help to reduce the chance of any visual confusion. To help stimulate appetite, red and yellow are selected for the outside of the bowl and cups. Perfectly Paired Curves Spoon heads have been engineered to precisely match the curvatures of the bowl, ensuring easy and efficient scooping. Slanted-Bottom Bowls and Cups Each bowl includes a slanted basin and a deep chamber that collects food on one side for easier gathering. One side of each bowl is right angled to provide a surface to scoop against. Cups are slanted as well with a straw-securing lid. Anti-tipping and slipping design Each piece in the Eatwell assistive tableware set is equipped with anti-slip material that is microwave and dishwasher safe, all of which helps to prevent spills and dropped foods and reduce the burden on caregivers.
