Product Description
This 7" Diffuser Sock from Impact is a 7" nylon fabric light softener ringed with strong elastic for a snug fit around standard-sized light head reflectors. This convenient diffuser softens light output by creating a larger light surface across the face of the reflector, bathing your subject in a diffuse light that's perfect for portrait or beauty photography and video. It installs in seconds, and is a handy way to quickly diffuse a light source, when setting up a softbox or using a handheld diffuser is impractical.
Diffuser Socks are stackable, offering the capability to increase the diffusion effect by adding additional socks over the first. Each layer of diffusion reduces light output by 1-stop. The nylon fabric is heat resistant and won't yellow or burn from the heat of your flash, studio strobe modeling light, or a cool light source, like LED or fluorescent lights.
Note: Intended for use on flash heads, LED sources, or fluorescent sources. Do not use on continuous hot light sources like halogen, tungsten, or HMI lamps.
