Our homemade Sweet Apple Schnitz is made from fresh, naturally sweet apples (most often the Rome Beauty variety) and air-dried, with no additives or preservatives used whatsoever. Our homemade Tart Apple Schnitz is made the same way, usually from Granny Smith apples.
Serving Suggestions – Apple Schnitz is a primary ingredient in dried apple dishes and desserts, in particular the old Pennsylvania Dutch favorite - Schnitz and Knepp! Apple Schnitz is also a popular lightweight, compressable, high-energy snack for hikers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts.
