With the Scheppach DM600VARIO, woodturning is really fun in the home workshop. Thanks to the mounting device, it can be solidly screwed to the workbench, which guarantees optimal stability and thus a quiet run. Despite the compact and lightweight design, this lathe can even work pieces up to 60 cm in length and 25 cm in diameter. The Scheppach DM600VARIO wood lathe is perfect for getting started in the hobby woodturning, even model makers will enjoy the innovative design. Wood and soft materials can be easily processed. Compact and particularly light at only 6.7 kg, this wood turning machine is ideal for small workshops - it takes up little space and can be easily assembled if necessary and screwed to the workbench for a solid stand. Headstock, tailstock and palm rest are attached to an aluminium machine bed. A workpiece with a length of up to 60 cm and a maximum diameter of 25 cm can be clamped between the 4-prong grain tip of the headstock and the M18 thread of the tailstock with running tip. For smaller workpieces, the tailstock can be placed closer to the headstock and fastened with a quick locking lever. The hand rest or tool rest is fixed to the machine bed. With its help, the tool can be held quiet when turning and pressed against the workpiece with pressure. This makes the machining cleaner and more beautiful - the high smoothness also contributes to this. The tool rest is adjustable and can be adjusted to the size and shape of the workpiece for flexible work. At the heart of the lathe is a 550 watt motor with stepless, electronic speed control. The spindle speed can be adjusted from 800 to 3000 min-1 via rotary switch. The knob is easily accessible on the headstock. The scope of delivery also includes a face plate with 6 holes in order to be able to clamp irregularly shaped workpieces into the machine for woodturning.
